This is just a friendly Kickstarter update to remind you about the mailing list and the next Twitch stream!

Twitch Stream!~

I will be streaming on Saturday at 1pm (Brisbane QLD time) however, can only stream for an hour due to time constraints - So I thought long and hard how to make it up to you guys for having such a short steam - and here it is...

 

 I am going to play an hour of Just Dance 2014 on the PS4 (its the version I have plus more than an hour of dancing means I might die) however, I will play while in a dinosaur costume...

At the end of the hour, I will bring my gross sweaty self out of the costume to draw the winners of this months mailing list sign ups!

New Fan-Fic~

What better way to finish an update than some wonderful new fan fic! (Thanks AngelRose! <3)

Katashi and Rose were in the kitchen, making brownies for Valentine’s Day. It’s been a while since the crew spent time together.

Rose: I’m surprised D.A.I let us relax for a bit. 

Protagonist: She was being nice cuz Katashi bought the special edition of Soul Set for her. 

Shizuka: I never heard of that version. And I’m a backer! 

D.A.I: I have connections. But anyway, how’s dem brownies? 

Katashi: It’ll be ready soon.

Beatrix and Nikolas enters the kitchen with bags in their hands. Teofilo also arrived a few minutes after them.

Beatrix: Here’s the gifts. No need to thank me! 

Nikolas: A PS4 for Shizuka, a stuffed animal for Melody, A headset for Teofilo… 

Yoshiki: What did I get? 

Beatrix: Nothing. You still owe me a present from last year. 

Kimiko: Thanks for the new Pokémon cap. Gotta catch all 802 Pokemon without using any cheat codes. Wish me luck! 

Rose: Before we passed the snacks, I think there was something the Protagonist wanted to say. 

Protagonist: (Why is everyone staring at me? Dang, seriously Rose. I bet they probably waiting for me to confess my love to someone). 

Nikolas: Are you going to confess to your love to one of us? 

Protagonist: (This is so cliché. Whose writing the fanfic? How about originality? 

Katashi: We can hear you. You’re talking aloud. 

Protagonist: (Yep. Definitely cliché). 

Yoshiki : Ai Love You. 

Nikolas: I suppose Beatrix is influencing you, Yoshiki. Puns are terrible. 

Beatrix: Obviously, he learned from the best.

Who does the Protagonist pick in Quantum Suicide? Due to confidential reasons, we cannot tell you since the game is still in production. Please wait until it’s released. Thank you understanding. See you in Space.

A Year in Review + Next Twitch Date!

Hello Quantumers!

I thought given that we have now been together for just under a year, and we have moved into a new year, I should do a post of highlights from 2016! If I have missed any, please add them in the comments! 

February - Kickstarter Success!  

February 29th 2016 was the first day of the rest of my life…the Quantum Suicide KickStarter was successful thanks to 1081 Quantumers. It was easily one of the best days of my life! I cried a whole bunch, ate some celebration ice cream, and then cried a bit more. I am quite the happy crier, be warned it isn’t pretty though. This whole journey started with our Quantumers and its thanks to all of you that we have gotten this far! 

August - BackerKit Closing  

After the Kickstarter finished, we started using BackerKit which is a fulfillment service. We officially closed the BackerKit in August with the project reaching the Japanese Voice Acting goal! Our Quantumer ranks grew from 1081 to 1135, and we became an impressive army, righting wrongs, fighting evil and saving our beloved husbandos and waifus from the depths of space.  

September - OzComiCon  

Quantum Suicide was lucky enough to be invited to be a part of Brisbane’s OzComicCon Anime Station section. Over two days, I handed out Quantum Suicide themed badges, hung out with a Kimiko hug pillow and introduced Quantum Suicide to the awesome people attending the con. I was lucky enough to hang out with original Quantumers, new Quantumers and the volunteers of the anime section.  

November – GCAP  

I was lucky enough to be selected to present on my experience with crowdfunding at Games Connect Asia Pacific 2016 during Melbourne International Games Week. I tried my best to stress that our community is what made the difference and that Quantum Suicide’s success was all due to you, the Quantumers! I hope everyone works hard to have a great community like we do.  

November - PAX Panel  

Continuing the crowdfunding theme, I joined a panel at PAX Australia alongside Beta Bar’s Bonnie and Monkey Islands and Maniac Mansions’ one and only Ron Gilbert. It was an amazing experience and I was sooooo lucky to get to meet Ron Gilbert in person. I was also honoured to meet multiple Quantumers who were attending the Australian PAX! It was my favourite Pax by far.  

So what is planned for 2017? Conventions! Panels! and most importantly....the release of Quantum Suicide! Get ready 2017, because HERE WE COME! 

TWITCH DATE - 23rd January!

Monday January 23rd I will be Twitch streaming The Warlock on Firetop Mountain!  I have never played it before, so we will be playing it for the first time together! Follow me on Twitch HERE to get notified when I go live! I will be streaming for 2 hours!

Good Afternoon Quantumers! I hope you are all having a great holiday period! And of course, if you don't celebrate these holidays, I hope you are just having a great day!

I want to thank all of your for such an amazing year! We have achieved so much together since February! We were successfully funded, Quantum Suicide got a place at Brisbane OZ Comic con as well as a mention in Japanese Dengeki PlayStation magazine, and I even got to present about the Kickstarter process at Games Connect Asia Pacific! (I am going to do a super long blog post about this year - tears included).

I don't want to take up too much of your time, so I will get straight to the point!

GIFTS GIFTS GIFTS!?

Being the holiday season, I am sure most of you have received a gift or two! My family does Secret Santa every year and so I get one, and this year it was amazing!

My brother set up an 'escape room like' present for me surrounding DOTA2. It took me just over an hour to get through all the puzzles and locks. Combing Puzzles and DOTA2 T.T I am so happy! I have some photos to share of it!

 The first combination was my win ratio as a pin code...something you can find on DOTABUFF...It was an embarrassing number...I don't wanna talk about it :P

Each piece then gave me a piece of a puzzle, that equaled this:

Finishing all the puzzles, I received some LOOT!

Hello Quantumers!

I know it has been less than a month, but it feels so much longer T.T 

I have just a few things for this update!

Quantum Suicide IndieBD Awards for 2016~

 

Quantum Suicide is eligible for votes for IndieDB's game of the year 2016! Awesome right?

Although we can not win first place because we are still in development, we can still be in the top 100 and receive honourable mention! If we can get into the top 100 or even just get an honourable mention, we should be able to increase our Quantumer Ranks and get more people excited for it's release next year...

What is more fun than making new friends!?  *cough*  to die horribly and alone on a spaceship  *cough*  .....YAY FRIENDS!

An Early Xmas Present~

I have commissioned our talented Chibi artist Miliza once more to finish the chibi set of the Quantum Suicide characters at the beach! Shizuka and Ai did win the Waifu vs Husband war, but it's the holiday season, so let's celebrate together!

AngelRose's FanFic!

For those of you who don't often visit the comment section, here is the latest awesome fanfics from AngelRose <3 (Sorry if any of it is in the wrong order ><' It took forever to format)

Shizuka searches for Rose the fanfic writer who has been missing. No one heard from her. Ms. Cherry discovered she didn't report her progress for the next fan fic.  

Yoshiki: That girl is scary. She keeps saying, "Find Rose or I'm deducting your paycheck." Don't play with a man's money.  

Protagonist: You probably earn less than everyone else.  

Teofilo: I check the Otaku shop, the comic book store, and other places.  

AI: I'm worried. DAI must have pushed her too far.  

Yoshiki: Off a cliff?  

Nikolas: My, you watch a lot of crazy crime shows.  

Beatrix: She has to return! Who else is going to write the fanfics? I need more lines.

Katashi checks the Protagonist's laptop for clues. He gets out of the chair, shaking his head. Protagonist: Rose is gone.  

Kimiko: Shizuka sent me a text a few minutes ago.  

Ms.Cherry enters the room, sobbing.  

Ms. Cherry: Wahhhhh......  

AI: Please calm down! We'll sacrifice our lives to save her.  

Beatrix: Hell no. I'm not dying yet. Shouldn't we wait until the Deletion Game?  

DAI: Yes, Beatrix. However, we cannot move on.  

Katashi: Operation: Rescue Rose starts now!

Katashi and the crew were sitting at the table. He wanted to talk about the upcoming projects for Cotton Candy Productions.  

Katashi: Since this visual novel is in development, there are still lingering questions we need to address.  

Yoshiki: Why are you talking all sophisticated? 

 Beatrix sighs. No one was expecting this day to come, not even DAI. Yet they needed to face the truth. 

Nikolas: What's going to happen to us once Quantum Suicide is released to the public? 

Kimiko: We fight! 

 Protagonist: I guess we'll be on the sidelines. 

 Beatrix: And watch while the new people take over? 

 DAI: we can kill them. 

 Bonnie: Then it won't be fun, Goddess DAI. 

 Shizuka: she's a goddess? 

 Katashi snaps his finger. Everyone became quiet. It's been one month since Rose disappeared. 

 Yoshiki: Let's hire a new fanfic writer! Problem solved! 

 AI: She's irreplaceable. Isn't she your waifu? 

Kimiko: Unless you got rid of her yourself. 

Ms.Cherry: Wahhhh....... Did Yoshiki harm her? Find out on the next part of The Missing Rose.

Bonnie interrogated Yoshiki for two hours. His sullen expression didn't eliminate everyone's suspicions. He was the last person to see Rose alive.  

Yoshiki: Bon-bon, I ain't a killer.  

Katashi: Her name is Bonnie.  

Yoshiki: Ok, Kat. I gotcha!  

Nikolas: She didn't leave a note. Her belongings are in the room.  

Kimiko: Who is writing this fanfic?  

Beatrix: Not me! Of course, I would make it ten times better. More screen time of the lovely, sexiest woman alive-  

Shizuka: AI  

Beatrix: You're ruining my moment!  

DAI: Quit clowning around or there'll be severe consequences.  

Teofilo enters the room with a note. He reads it, "Find a new writer. I quit! Peace out! From former Quantumer Rose."  

Bonnie: It's not her writing.  

Katashi: A fake letter? That's ridiculous!  

Nikolas: Give me the note, Teofilo. I need to run an analysis. Two hours passed and Nikolas doesn't returned. 

What happened to him? Another exciting episode continues!

Beatrix looks for her brother while the team contemplates for a plan. Rose might be gone for good. What can they do?  

Shizuka: Beatrix should've been here by now.  

Yoshiki: She's dead. Let's prepare for the funeral.... Katashi smacks him. Since the siblings weren't present, they went to find them.  

Protagonist: No one is gonna be alive to tell this story.  

DAI: Thanks for being optimistic. Kimiko: Beatrix loves the dining hall. Nikolas is usually in the lab.  

Bonnie: Splitting up is an obvious trap.  

AI: We can use these walkie-talkies.  

Protagonist: Alright! AI and Katashi, follow me!  

Yoshiki: But I wanna go with you.  

DAI drags him by the ear as they went in the opposite direction. They are hoping for answers.  

Katashi: It's her!  

Protagonist: Melody?  

AI: She's been knocked out. There's a rope by the--- The power is out! Who cut it off? 

Stick around for the next part!

Yoshiki: I feel dehydrated. I can't breathe... Help....  

Shizuka: Katashi, can you hear me? Over!  

Yoshiki: Hello! I'm dying....  

DAI: You'll be dying in a minute when I'm done with you.  

Katashi explains the situation to the team. Shizuka tells them to stay there and not move until they meet up.  

Bonnie: Where is Teofilo? Ms. Cherry?  

Yoshiki: Maybe they're the true masterminds behind this! Makes sense.  

Dai: Teofilo left before we separated. She could've told him to turn the power off.  

Ms. Cherry: Wahhh... innocent...  

Bonnie: Or the ghostwriter probably forgot to give them lines.  

Teofilo: So where is our missing crew? Shizuka: Katashi, answer! Over!  

????: He's gone now.  

Yoshiki: Who are ya?  

Dai: It's..... Yoshiki: Anyone know who that was? 

If you do, then keep quiet! Don't spoil it!

Dai: I can't believe it.  

Shizuka: Me neither  

Bonnie: It's not true, correct?  

Yoshiki: Ok. So who the hell is it?  

Teofilo: Former partner of the Cotton Candy Production.  

Yoshiki: Nyx? Nyx went on a journey to fulfill her dreams and now the company belongs to Ms. Cherry, a rich businesswoman in Australia who owns a fancy mansion.

Yoshiki: How can ya tell?  

Teofilo: Her angelic voice resonates people's souls.  

Ms. Cherry: She wants revenge.  

Shizuka: How about we turn on the light?  

Yoshiki pulls out a flashlight from his back pocket, turns it on, and starts tossing it into the air.  

Dai: Where did you get that?  

Yoshiki: From my pocket, duh. I'm a mechanic.  

Teofilo: We all know Yoshiki didn't even have one until now. He magically summoned a flashlight at the right moment. It's definitely a plot device.  

Bonnie: We're wasting time. Come on, let's go! Bonnie takes the flashlight and they begin to search for their friends. Until Dai screamed....

Katashi looked around and noticed that he was tied to a chair in a basement. Everyone was knocked out.  

Katashi: Beatrix! Nikolas!  

????: Quiet! They need their rest.  

Katashi: Why did you do it?  

Mariko: It's a prank, fool!  

Beatrix and the others were laughing. Rose was sitting in a chair, writing on her tablet.

Rose: She told me to play along, so I did.  

Katashi: We don't even have a basement. How does this exist?  

Mariko: Can someone put him to sleep?  

Katashi: It already passed Thanksgiving. And it's way too late for a Halloween prank.  

A few hours later, Mariko hosted a party to celebrate the friendship between the Soul Set Company and Cotton Candy Productions.  

Dai: Wasn't Nyx here?  

Bonnie: Her spirit must've tried to reach us.  

Yoshiki: It ain't real. She's alive. Ghosts are superstitious and fake. You know, like make-believe.  

Nikolas: There's someone standing behind you.  

Yoshiki: Not falling for that, either.  

Nyx threw a bucket of water on Yoshiki and use a Sharpie to draw on his face while Dai took photos of him. Ms. Cherry stopped crying when Rose announced that she's still part of the team. Beatrix complained about having more spotlight in the next fanfic to her brother. Melody and Teofilo were singing a song. But Katashi never showed up to the party. 

If anyone asked about him, they all shrugged their shoulders. The End.

That's it for this update guys! I am still working hard to finish the writing and so am still a little AFK at the moment T.T

Melbourne International Games Week!

Hello there my Dearest Quantumers!

As some of you may have known, last week was Melbourne International Games Week and so I have just gotten back from a week in Melbourne.

The weather there is confusing. One day it was 8 degrees, the next day it was 30 degrees.

Crazy Weather aside, I was lucky enough to attend and present at Games Connect Asia Pacific as well as be on a panel during PAX Australia.

 I also meet Quantumer Phillip, but we forgot to take a photo, but do not fear, my pro photo shop skills are here and I bet you can't even tell this isn't real!

 And finally...

We have made some new Visual Novel friends over at MONSTER PROM!

 

They are currently on KickStarter, and have 14 days to go...and are already funded!

They are a competitive dating sim...and that really caught my interest! So please check it out and support it if you would like! Perhaps we can verse each other in future!

I even had our talent Chibi artist Azilim draw some of their characters!
